WINGS officers serve for a period of two years. New leaders are selected by WINGS members in a general election. In addition to the defined responsibilities, a role may be expanded based on each individual’s talents or interests. WINGS officers may also lead initiatives or committees based on interest or need.
President | The President is responsible for the overall goals and objectives of the WINGS group. She prepares the agenda, with assistance from the board, and presides over meetings. She also presides over meetings with the board when needed. |
Vice-President | The Vice-President supports the President wherever needed and fills in for the President if needed. |
Treasurer | The Treasurer is responsible for managing the group’s funds. She receives funds from annual membership dues, fundraisers, or other sources and deposits them into the WINGS parish account. The Treasurer provides a financial report at monthly meetings. |
Secretary | The secretary is responsible for documenting meeting minutes and communicating meeting reminders, minutes, or other special announcements to the group. She also assists the group with social media responsibilities. |
Activity Director | The Activity Director plans programs for fun, education, and/or fellowship during monthly meetings or special activities outside of meeting time. The Activity Director coordinates the materials and leads the activities. |
